Drone Operation Essentials
Looking to build strong operational skills or progress toward future drone licensing?
Learn how to analyse flight data, understand aerodynamics, apply air law, and interpret environmental factors in real flight scenarios.
The programme combines theory, simulator training, and outdoor flying to help you operate drones confidently and responsibly.
The four day programme blends classroom learning, simulator practice, and supervised outdoor flying.
Day 1 and 2 focus on theory, aerodynamics, communication systems, and flight parameter analysis. Simulator training is introduced to help you understand flight behaviour in a controlled environment.
Day 3 and 4 are dedicated to outdoor flying where you apply what you learned in real conditions.
The course concludes with a written and practical assessment to ensure you understand key concepts and can operate safely.
• Full course fee: $1962 after GST
• Singapore Citizens and PRs below forty: $1062 after funding
• Singapore Citizens aged forty and above: $702 after funding
• SME sponsored Singaporeans and PRs: $702 after funding
Eligible Singaporeans and PRs can use their SkillsFuture credits to offset the remaining course fee. T&Cs apply.
This course is suitable for learners who want a deeper understanding of unmanned aircraft performance, aerodynamics, and regulatory requirements.
It is ideal for those aiming to improve their drone handling skills or preparing to progress toward a UAPL in the future. There is no prior drone flying experience required and all practical sessions use school drones.
To join the course, you must be at least 21 years old and have a good command of English.

2-day Course
Aerial Drone Videography
Want to learn aerial videography and fly confidently with hands on practice?
Learn how to set up and control a drone, understand camera systems, plan safe flight paths, and capture stable aerial footage.
The programme also introduces aviation regulations, hazard awareness, and practical videography techniques that you can apply immediately in real flying environments.
The two day programme combines classroom discussions with guided outdoor flying.
Day 1 focuses on theory, regulations, camera settings, and basic drone control, followed by practical exercises.
Day 2 is primarily outdoor practice where you apply what you learned through supervised flight sessions.
The course concludes with both a written and a practical assessment to ensure you understand the key concepts and can fly safely.
• Full course fee: $981 after GST
• Singapore Citizens and PRs below 40: $531 after funding
• Singapore Citizens aged 40 and above: $351 after funding
• SME sponsored Singaporeans and PRs: $351 after funding

This course is suitable for beginners, hobbyists, content creators, and working professionals who want to learn drone videography in a safe and structured way.

There is no fixed commitment, you join activities only when you want to.
No experience or equipment is required. Our meet-ups and courses are beginner-friendly and school drones will be available.
You will learn how to fly safely, understand local regulations, and build confidence in a supportive, guided environment.
At the end of the training, you will gain practical flying skills, full understanding of local drone regulations, and the confidence to operate drones responsibly.
SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) will also issue you a Statement of Attainment (SOA).
